This self-guided, online program will provide more than 18.25 hours of ACPE continuing education for pharmacists incorporating recorded presentations and readings in curricular modules. The program will cover that rationale and process for using pharmacogenomics to improve medication use, the key aspects associated with successful implementation of pharmacogenomics in a health system, interpreting pharmacogenomics results and the associated recommendations regarding pharmacotherapy in patient-specific care settings, and will highlight the current controversies and challenges in pharmacogenomics implementation.
Once a learner has successfully completed the educational curriculum, he/she will be given the opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge and skills learned by analyzing a case study that is then submitted for expert review. If approved, a learner earns a professional certificate.
