Overview
The Nutrition Support Certificate was produced in collaboration with the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN). This self-guided program consists of 12 modules comprised of online home study activities. Each activity is designed to assess the learners’ ability to understand, analyze and apply materials relevant to nutrition support practice. After completing all of the modules, participants should be proficient in the fundamental concepts relating to nutrition support care, from identification of malnutrition to treatment and ongoing monitoring of adult patients.
This program is accredited for continuing education for pharmacists and physicians.
Professional Certificate Requirement
Once a learner has successfully completed the educational curriculum, he/she will have the opportunity to complete a 100-question comprehensive exam. If the learner successfully completes the exam (minimum 80% passing rate), he/she earns the professional certificate.
