Activity Overview
This course is intended for BCCCPs in need of recertification credit and is designed based on the content outline developed by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) to provide an overview of recent standards and guidelines that specialists should be familiar with in practice. The course uses a case-based approach to discuss patient care issues. In this series, faculty will:
- To present a high-quality, up-to-date overview of disease states and therapeutics;
- To provide a framework to help attendees prepare for the specialty certification examination in critical care pharmacy; and
- To offer participants an effective learning experience using a case-based approach with a strong focus on the thought processes needed to solve patient care problems in each topic.
This online course consists of 20 activities (see table below) and provides up to 22.25 contact hours of continuing pharmacy education credit and/or recertification credit.
Accreditation

The American College of Clinical Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education with Commendation.
Target Audience
These recertification activities are intended for board certified pharmacists seeking to update their knowledge and skills in cardiology pharmacy.
Recertification Credit
Board certified pharmacists are eligible to receive up to 22.25 contact hours of recertification credit for completing this course. To earn recertification credit, learners must review the course content and successfully complete the online assessments by the deadline.
ASHP provides an opportunity for remediation. Participants who are unsuccessful with the first assessment attempt may take a second assessment. The second assessment is included at no additional cost.

ASHP is approved by BPS as a provider for the recertification of BCCCP.
